Posted on 25th February 2013 in

Transportable enough to fit in the back of an ute, and offering a lighting range up to 5 times greater than quartz light alternatives, the Allmand Port-A-Lite has just been launched locally by CAPS Australia, the largest Australian-owned, independent generator and compressed air equipment supplier.

Allmand Port-A-Lite“The Allmand Port-A-Lite is an affordable, heavy-duty lighting tower solution that offers an unique alternative for the Australian market,” said Richard Sweet, Marketing Manager – Portable Products, with CAPS Australia. Sweet continues, “they are not only highly compact, being adjustable up to 3.65 metres in height, but they are easily transportable around job sites, with a light that can adjust in all directions without tools.”

Powerful enough to provide safe working illumination for a large area, the Port-A-Lite comes in two models, with either one or two lamps, with each Super High Output 1000-Watt metal halide lamps capable of producing 110,000 lumens per lamp. “This gives users a ‘Best in Class’ solution to effectively and efficiently illuminate most work sites, working from a standard 240 volt, 10 amp domestic power point,” Sweet added.

These new lighting towers complement the range of other portable equipment available from CAPS and are ideal for companies requiring temporary lighting. CAPS anticipates that the Port-A-Lite lighting tower solution will be most useful in concrete finishing, paving, masonry, roofing, excavation, mining, refineries, quarries, demolition, waterfronts, training sites, and special events.

Built tough to withstand a range of arduous operating environments, the unit features a heavy duty construction, and are built in the US.

Allmand, manufacturer of the world’s first lighting towers in 1955, has produced several thousand of these reliable, quality and cost-effective portable lighting systems worldwide. The units enhance operational performance and safety around domestic, industrial and mining applications.
