Recent Projects: Airman Compressors, Gorgon LNG Project - CAPS

Hertel Modern, the multi-discipline engineering, construction, maintenance and operations support services contractor to Chevron Australia on the Gorgon Project at Barrow Island in Western Australia required compressed air for their industrial painting and protective coatings services workshops on the remote island.

• Reliable, well-built compressors that met Gorgon Gas (mine) project site specifications.
• Competitive and reasonable pricing.
• Provide trouble-free air compressor operation at the remote site.

Six Airman 400 cfm portable diesel towable compressors were purchased to provide for easy transportability, suiting the varied needs of the Hertel Modern services team. To meet stringent (mine) site standards, several enhancements were made to ensure that all compressors surpassed all requirements, including special air filtration systems (for the site’s very dusty environmental conditions), customised certification and fittings. The safety and environmental management credentials of the machine were increased with several standard options including emergency stop buttons, fire extinguishers and oil containment bunding.

The competitive pricing of the Airman range has allowed Hertel Modern to have a fleet of compressors that not only meet exacting site requirements, but are also fitted with a number of additional options to suit the company and their equipment operators. Being completed on-time and in-spec, Hertel Modern will benefit from the guaranteed performance of their Airman PDS400S-6B1-T compressors, with reliable, clean compressed air delivered across their site wherever air is needed.
