The Problem

Redarc has over 35 years’ experience in the research, design, development, and manufacture of a range of electronic voltage converters and associated products. Key Industries they operate in include Trucking, mining, emergency services, marine, motorhome and 4WD.

In electronics manufacturing, nitrogen is used to provide an inert atmosphere during automated soldering processes, delivering higher quality soldered joints.

Redarc had a single selective solder machine installed to which bottled nitrogen gas was supplied, however, the company was on the verge of an expansion that would see their nitrogen requirements increase substantially.

Redarc required a solution that would reduce nitrogen costs and maximise efficiency.

Solution

CAPS worked closely with Redarc consultants and contractors to facilitate the change from bottled nitrogen to a nitrogen generation system.

The package supplied and commissioned by CAPS included a Nitrogen generation system, Ingersoll Rand 30kW compressor, Conquest refrigerated air dryer, air receiver, filters and critical spares.
